Going 35 mph over the speed limit in one small Swiss town cost one wealthy entrepreneur $290,000. Maybe he shouldn’t have tried to have himself declared a diplomat with the associated immunity that usually is attached to that category of bureaucrat. Then he only would have had to have paid just $90,000. Or perhaps he should have tried to convince the judge he was driving a Toyota Corolla instead of a Ferrari Testarossa.
